Business Purpose

What is StrateGaia

Our name is a portmanteau of Strategy and Gaia.

Strategy because we believe proactively designing a business is the only way to have a game plan to remain viable in our ever more complex world.

Gaia because this is where we live: the tiny 6km high ‘critical zone’ where all life exists, and upon which all life depends, including us humans. Without a flourishing Gaia we are all out of business.

So together StrateGaia is focused on Strategy that brings flourishing life… to our enterprises, all their stakeholders, and Gaia at large.

Antony Upward

Co-Founder

Antony Upward

Antony is the Founder of Edward James Consulting Ltd, and a co-founder of Strategaia AS. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holds a Master of Environmental Studies in Business Model Design and Sustainability. He is an Adjunct Professor in the faculty of Design at OCAD University, Toronto, Canada.

Øystein Aarrestad

Øystein is partner in CR Group, and a co-founder of Strategaia AS. He has a technical background (mechanical engineer) from Agder University College and has a diploma in economics education from BI Norwegian Business School. He has extensive experience from sales, management, and consultancy activities.

Harald Holt

Harald is a senior adviser in CR Group, and a co-founder of Strategaia AS. Harald holds a Master of Engineering and an International a Master of Business Administration from BI. He has a broad experience from research and development, international work, management. He has been engaged in Telenor, Det Norske Veritas, the UN's Work for the Environment (UNEP) and Education (UNU) internationally and Noroff AS.

Egil Norman Olsen

Co-Founder

Egil Norman Olsen

Egil is partner in CR Group, and a co-founder of Strategaia AS. He holds a Bachelor degree in electronics Engineering from the Norwegian School of Engineering in Trondheim with additional education in economics and management. He has a broad experience in business operations both in Norway and abroad with change management, strategy processes and company start-ups.
